The El Pesadero coffee farm is centrally located in the municipality of Antiqua, Guatemala. Antiqua is surrounded by 3 volcanoes. The rich volcanic soil, warm days, and cool nights and high winds give Antigua its unique microclimate that provides perfect conditions for coffee growing.
El Pesadero is owned and operated by the Coto family, second and third generation coffee producers who took over the family coffee farm in 1985. The Coto family is committed to the land and the people who work it. They have built a school for students of pre-school age through high school that serves the entire area. A special program for older students focuses on growing coffee in harmony with nature.
Savor the complexity of our Guatemala single-origin coffee. Dark chocolate and lemongrass notes blend seamlessly with bright citrus fruit, finishing with a sweetness of cream, grape, and pomegranate. Medium citric acidity brings vibrancy to every sip, while the juicy mouthfeel and medium-heavy body create a rich, satisfying cup from start to finish.
